Heart Disease

There are some heart diseases that we will cover in this page, such as heart attack.

A heart disease most of the time occurs by the narrowed or blocked blood vessels that obstruct the natural flow of the blood and oxygen to a part of the heart muscle. This blockage can also happen because of the buildup of cholesterol. A heart-attack was often fatal, but due to better awareness of heart-attack signs and symptoms and improved treatments, most people who had heart-attack now survive. Your overall lifestyle plays an important role in your recovery. A healthy lifestyle can help you prevent a heart- attack by controlling risk factors that contribute to the obstruction and narrowing of the coronary arteries that supply blood to your heart. What you eat, how often you exercise and the way you deal with stress plays can help you in the recovery from a heart-attack.

Tea, Coffee Drinkers have lower heart risk

People who drink a lot of tea or drink coffee in moderation are less likely to die of heart-attack. The finding adds to the growing body of evidence suggesting that coffee and tea help protect against heart-attack, but not stroke.Researchers followed more than 37,000 people in America for 13 years in one of the largest and longest studies ever to examine the impact of coffee and tea drinking on heart health.

They found out that people who drank three to six cups of tea per day had 45% lower risk of death from heart-attack than people who drank less than one cup of tea a day.

Drinking more than six cups of tea a day was associated with 36 % lower risk of heart-attack, compared to drinking less than one cup.

People who drank more than two, but no more than 4 cups of coffee a day had about a 20% lower risk of heart-attack than people who drank more or less coffee or no coffee at all.

Moderate coffee consumption was associated with slight, but not statistically significant, reduction in death from heart-attack, but neither coffee nor tea affected stroke risk.
